Move off QuickBooks Desktop without relearning your books
GFS copies your QuickBooks Desktop company — every list, every transaction, all of the history — checks the result against QuickBooks' own reports to the penny, and runs it in a browser app built around the screens and words QuickBooks users already know. One login covers every company you run.
- Lossless Desktop import
- Verified to the penny
- Familiar QuickBooks workflows
- Many companies, one login

How migration works
Your file is read, copied and proven — then you decide
- 01
Install the GFS agent
A signed Windows app that installs on the PC running QuickBooks Desktop and keeps itself up to date.
- 02
Read-only extraction
The agent only ever asks QuickBooks for data. It has no way to change your company file.
- 03
Copy to GFS
Lists, transactions and their full history move to your GFS company in the cloud.
- 04
Verify against QuickBooks
GFS runs the same reports QuickBooks does and compares them line by line, account by account.
- 05
Approve and carry on
Once every report is green, you approve the migration and keep working in GFS.
Proof, not promises
A migration you can check before you trust it
Most conversions ask you to take the result on faith and find the differences at year end. GFS compares its Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, customer and vendor balances and list reports against the same reports run inside QuickBooks, and shows every account as matched, close or different.
Nothing is approved until you have seen the grid. Your QuickBooks file is untouched throughout, so you can keep working in it while you review.
- Report-by-report comparison
- Account-level detail on any difference
- QuickBooks keeps running meanwhile

FAQ
GFS questions
Can the migration change or damage my QuickBooks file?
No. The GFS agent only sends read requests to QuickBooks. It cannot create, edit or delete anything in your company file.
What comes across from QuickBooks Desktop?
Your lists — accounts, customers, vendors, items, employees, classes, terms and more — and your transactions with their history, so reports in GFS match the reports you ran in QuickBooks.
How do I know the migration is correct?
GFS runs the same reports QuickBooks does and compares them account by account. You approve the migration only after you have reviewed the comparison.
Can I keep using QuickBooks during the move?
Yes. Your QuickBooks file is untouched, so you can keep working in it until you are ready to switch.
Does GFS import from QuickBooks Online?
Not yet. The first release focuses on QuickBooks Desktop. QuickBooks Online import is planned.
How much will GFS cost?
Pricing will be announced at launch. Early-access companies will be offered early-access pricing.
